This weekend is the spring City Kids Consignment Sale (April 25th from 10-3 and the 26th from 10-2, at Neumann Goretti H.S. in South Philly) a pretty amazing event put on by a group of organized South Philly moms. (Not only do they have running this massive sale down to a science, they’ve only been doing it for a year!) We went last year, and scored some awesome goods.
Here’s what you can expect: This year nearly 10,000 items were submitted to be consigned from locals. That includes: over 700 toys, ride-ons and trikes, a bunch of high-end strollers (Maclaren Volos, UPPAbaby, CityMini), new mom essentials like diaper bags, 3,200 clothing items for girls, 2,500 for boys.
Besides snatching up brag-worthy deals, there is an awesome raffle with the money going to support programming for the South Philly Family Resource Center. Here are some of the things you can enter to win (there are many more!): A six-month membership to Nest, free classes at Rhythm Babies, massage, mini-photo sessions from Tammy Bradshaw, and a half a day of home repairs with Wee fave Home Hero.
Other things to know: Free parking, free admission. Stuff on Sunday is up to 50% off. Follow them on Facebook for the latest pictures of what you’ll find! If you want to consign any stuff, sign-up for their mailing list so you’ll get the early word on the next sale.
