There are a whole bunch of cute clothes out there right now that are coming from either local Philly designers or local Philly companies. We’re talking cute everyday clothes, cute special occasion clothes, cute rocker-kid clothes, cute footwear .. the whole gamut. Do y’all know these guys? You should!

What: Chirp Kids
The look: Precious little t-shirts (both long and short-sleeved) with a little print of a bird singing its unique birdsong. (Pictured in the above photo!)
The details: The tees are simple, unisex, educational — and really cute. Wynnewood-based creator Amanda Meltz is an ornithologist (and a mom) who photographed the birds herself; she also includes a little postcard about the bird on the shirt, so kids can see the real thing and learn.

What: Mason Dixon shoes
The look: Simple, sweet little unisex boots that are cool and classic.
The details: The shoes — made with leather, suede and plantation crepe soles — are made by local designer (and mom) Heather Holiday, who’s based in Fishtown. You can read the full scoop via Wee’s official fashion informant, Shoppist.

What: First & Marley
The look: Casual everyday tops, pants, shoes, dresses, onesies and accessories … even some gear like changing pads. We’re talking simple basics with a little ramped-up style.
The details: First & Marley is a Philly-based online boutique owned by Annie Fuhrman Weiss (co-owned by
her husband Daniel Weiss) — they’ve got a tightly edited collection of brands you’ll recognize and new, boutique ones you won’t .. and their sale prices are amazing.

What: Luv Bug
The look: Sweet Cheeks diaper covers — cute, sassy little bloomers.
The details: We’ve written about Luv Bug before (um, like Tuesday) — the line of blankets, nursing covers, burp cloths, diaper covers (and more) come from a Bucks County-based family, and they’re all handmade.

What: Pretty Pretty Rebel
The look: Cheery, fun, sassy, mini-rocker-meets-Barbie clothes for girls: Lots of pink! Lots of attitude!
The details: PPR’s designer Leah Delfiner is an Arts Institute grad, a former Betsey Johnson intern, and a Designer in Residence in Philly’s 2013 Fashion Incubator at Macy’s.

What: Sweet Luka Mo
The look: Cool and simple-but-saucy kids pants, tops, tanks and onesies — great everyday clothes, in decidedly un-babyish colors and designs.
The details: Sweet Luka Mo — conceived and made in Philly by a Philly couple — uses all super soft cottons and bamboo fabrics, and it’s all sustainable and gender-neutral.
