Halloween is the ultimate crowd-pleasing holiday. For a kid, it’s basically heaven. (Candy! Costumes! CANDY!) For a parent, it’s the cutest holiday of the year. (Dress your kid like a tiny dragon! Or pea pod! Or Chewbacca, squeeeeeee!) In the spirit of helping everyone celebrate properly (and also helping you get the most photo ops that you can possibly squeeze out of that Chewbacca costume), the Please Touch Museum is once again hosting its awesome Monster Mash party, with crafts, stories, dancing, treats and — yes — costumes. And unlike years past, this month’s bash is open to EVERY FAMILY, not just members. Here’s the full scoop.
The party: Monster Mash at the Please Touch Museum is a great annual party aimed at the museum’s target demographic — kids 7 and younger.
The fun: This is a guaranteed kid-pleaser, you guys. First, there are the costumes. (Kids and grown-ups are encouraged to dress up.) There’s also “boo-it-yourself” craft stations, story times, a photo station, FREE (and unlimited) carousel rides, a dance party and trick-or-treating throughout the museum. And again — the party is open to anyone who buys a ticket, not just members.
The date: Saturday, October 24 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. From 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., it’s exclusive member access only; general admission runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The tickets: Tickets are available here. Members pay $15 a ticket; general admission is $25 a ticket.
