At some point, most of us find ourselves on the search for the right swim class for our little water babies. So as far as Wee is concerned, there’s no saturation point for great teachers and great pools around here; it’s always very welcome news when a cool place opens up. And come this May, Philly and Jersey parents can count Marlton’s Bear Paddle Swim School as a great new option for kids’ swim lessons.
Bear Paddle Swim School — a seven-year-old Midwestern-based chain of swim schools that’s just now expanding east — focuses specifically on kids, and teaching them how to swim and how to be safe in the water. The program features focused 30-minute weekly lessons in a warm saltwater pool. Classes are small, and organized by the children’s ages (from 6 months on up) and abilities, and are all taught by friendly certified instructors who aim to make the lessons fun for every kid so they have a good time while they learn. (Bear Paddle is also known for its patch reward system that works as a positive reinforcement for young swimmer. It’s adorable.) And here’s a massive perk: The classes, which are offered year-round, are also held at several different times of day, seven days a week. Bonus: The school will also host swim camps and birthday parties, too.
You can register for lessons online, and the first 500 students to register will receive $10 swim lessons with a two-month commitment, as well as a free swim bag.
